After all, travelling is all about expanding your horizons and ultimately, boosting your mood. It looks like Melbourne, Australia can do just that! The vibrant city took the #1 spot on the “Friendliest Cities in the World” list compiled by insurance company William Russell with a score of 6.06.
The UK-based company took a total of 23 of the most visited cities around the world and ranked them on the following factors: Resident Happiness, Safety, LGBT+ inclusivity, Top Attractions and Highest-Rated Hotels.
They looked at data from city residents’ quality of life in Melbourne, and the city scored an impressive 7.296 out of 10 with Melbourne’s top attraction as Queen Victoria Market, with 237 friendly and welcoming reviews.
In second place was Paris with a rating of 5.99, followed by Vienna (5.91), Madrid (5.76) and in fifth place Brussels (5.6).
